Who can take part
- You have a BMI of 30 or higher, or a BMI between 27 and 29.9 with a weight-related health issue like high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
- You have tried to lose weight through diet at least once without lasting success.
- You do not have diabetes or a history of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
- You have not taken weight-loss or diabetes medications in the GLP-1 class (like Ozempic or Wegovy) in the last 6 months, and you have not taken amylin analogs like petrelintide before.
- You have not had weight-loss surgery or certain weight-loss procedures (like a gastric balloon) recently, and you are not planning them during the trial.
- You have not lost more than 11 pounds (5 kg) in the last 3 months, and you do not have serious health conditions like pancreatitis, severe psychiatric disorders, or advanced heart failure.
