- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are scheduled to have elective lower back surgery with metal implants (instrumentation) under general anesthesia.
- You are in generally good health or have well-controlled medical conditions (classified as ASA I to III).

- You have not had previous lower back surgery.
