Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (a serious heart condition) and received a drug-coated heart stent.
  • You must have a high risk of bleeding based on a special checklist used by doctors.
  • You must be able to complete a score calculation called OPT-CAD.
  • Your doctor must think you can take two blood thinners (aspirin plus clopidogrel or ticagrelor) for at least 12 months.
  • You must not be allergic to aspirin, clopidogrel, or ticagrelor.
