Lung-sparing radiation using advanced MRI for lung cancer

Who can take part

  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You have non-small cell lung cancer and are scheduled for a full course of radiation therapy.
  • You either had successful radiation for a prior lung cancer and now have a new one, or you have advanced COPD (stage 3+) that makes your lungs uneven.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You have no metal implants (like pacemakers or clips) and no trouble being in an MRI (like claustrophobia or weight over 300 pounds).
  • You can understand and agree to the study, and have a stable home and no active drug/alcohol dependence.
