Miswak vs. fluoride toothpaste for children's teeth with MIH

Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 12 years old.
  • Your child has at least one of their first permanent molars or front teeth with white, creamy, yellow, or brown spots from MIH.
  • Your child is generally healthy with no serious medical conditions.
  • Your child is not currently receiving other treatments for MIH besides fluoride.
  • You and your child are willing to take part and be randomly assigned to use Miswak or fluoride toothpaste.
