Fat Cell Therapy for Hand Problems in Scleroderma

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), either the diffuse or limited type.
  • Your hand skin is thickened and your hand function is limited (Cochin Hand Function Scale score of 20 or more out of 90).
  • You are able to safely undergo a liposuction procedure to collect fat cells from your belly or thighs.
  • You have not had certain treatments or conditions that would make the study unsafe (e.g., recent cancer, active infections, severe allergies, or other autoimmune diseases).
