Who can take part
- You are between 30 and 70 years old.
- You have had type 2 diabetes for at least 1 year.
- Your fasting blood sugar is 126 mg/dL or higher, or your HbA1c (average blood sugar over 2-3 months) is 6.5% or higher.
- You are not taking any anti-platelet or anti-inflammatory medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen).
- You do not have any infection, chronic inflammatory disease, cancer, or serious liver, kidney, or blood disorders.
- You have not had major surgery or a serious injury in the past 3 months.
