- You have type 2 diabetes that requires daily insulin injections and have been using insulin for at least 6 months
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- Your blood sugar control test (HbA1c) is at least 6.5% at screening
- You do not smoke, or quit smoking at least 12 months ago
- You can follow dietary restrictions, keep food records, attend study visits, and provide blood samples
- You are generally healthy with no serious heart, lung, kidney, or liver disease
