Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 1 and 14 years old
  • A genetic test must show the specific c.607G>A change in the GNAO1 gene
  • Your child must have both epilepsy and movement disorders (like dystonia or hyperkinesias) that haven't improved after trying at least two standard medications
  • For girls who have started menstruating, a pregnancy test must be negative and effective birth control must be used during the study
  • Your child cannot have any other medical condition or infection that would make a spinal tap unsafe
