Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

Who can take part

  • You have epilepsy that starts in one small area of your brain (the temporal lobe) and isn't controlled by medication.
  • You have at least 2 seizures per month (that affect awareness or spread to both sides) on average over 3 months.
  • You take up to 4 anti-seizure medicines and your dose has been stable for at least 1 month.
  • MRI scans show damage in your temporal lobe that matches where your seizures start.
  • You agree to use effective birth control during the study (if you could become pregnant or father a child).
  • You do not have any other major brain conditions, like dementia, brain tumors, or other types of epilepsy.
