Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You had a stroke more than 6 months ago
- You have trouble walking due to weakness on one side of the body
- You can walk a little with help (score 2 or higher on a walking ability scale)
- You could walk on your own before the stroke
- You do not have severe memory, thinking, or communication problems
- You do not have serious heart, lung, or blood pressure conditions
- You do not have severe muscle tightness in your legs
- You do not have open sores, fractures, or recent joint problems that limit movement
