Comparing two types of voice prostheses for laryngectomy patients

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have had your voice box removed (total laryngectomy).
  • You have a small opening between your windpipe and your food pipe (tracheoesophageal puncture).
  • You are currently using or ready to start using a voice prosthesis that stays in place (indwelling).
  • You have no signs of cancer in your head or neck area.
  • It has been at least 6 months since you completed cancer treatment.
