  • You are 18 to 80 years old
  • This is your first stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke)
  • You have weakness on one side of your body (hemiparesis)
  • Your stroke happened at least a few weeks ago, but any time is allowed
  • You are able to follow simple instructions and have no metal implants or pacemaker
