Who can take part

  • You live in the South Sector of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
  • You are between 55 and 74 years old.
  • You are a current smoker or former smoker who quit less than 15 years ago and smoked at least 20 pack-years (e.g., 1 pack per day for 20 years).
  • You are able to give consent and do not have an active cancer (except non-melanoma skin cancer, monitored prostate cancer, or treated breast cancer).
  • You can lie flat for the scan and weigh less than 200 kg.
  • You have not had a chest CT scan in the last 12 months and are not pregnant.
