Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 100 years old.
  • You have peripheral artery disease (PAD), including symptoms like leg pain when walking or at rest, weak pulses, or abnormal test results from prior imaging or ankle-brachial index (ABI).
  • OR you are a healthy adult (with normal ABI, no PAD symptoms, and no history of heart or blood vessel disease) who can still complete the study procedures.
  • You are willing and able to provide written informed consent.
  • You do not have severe movement disorders (like advanced Parkinson's), an allergy to the ultrasound contrast agent (SonoVue), or an active leg infection.
  • You do not have cognitive impairment or legal incapacity that prevents you from consenting.
