Who can take part
- You have leg circulation disease (PAD) in one or both legs, shown by an ankle-brachial index under 0.9 or non-compressible leg vessels
- You have critical limb-threatening disease (CLI) with an ongoing ulcer that hasn’t improved over the last 3 months
- You do not have another major illness affecting the treated limb’s blood flow (besides PAD)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are not allergic to ultrasound contrast materials or polyethylene glycol (PEG/macrogol)
- Your blood pressure is stable and you are not likely to need amputation or a revascularization procedure within 1 month
