Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have been newly diagnosed with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia in chronic phase (Ph+ CML-CP) within the last 3 months.
- You can have taken certain other leukemia medicines (like interferon or hydroxyurea), but if you took a targeted therapy called a TKI, it must have been for no more than 2 weeks.
- You need to start taking the study drug Scemblix within 14 days of signing the consent form.
- You cannot have had a more advanced form of CML (accelerated phase or blast crisis) or other active cancers.
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy cannot join.
