Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are currently in the hospital at an Intermountain Health facility.
  • You have a positive blood culture for a type of staph bacteria (either MRSA or MSSA).
  • The blood culture was taken during this hospital stay, or within 48 hours before you came to the hospital, or within 24 hours before you were transferred to an Intermountain hospital.
  • You agree to allow your medical information to be used in the study.
