Who can take part

  • You have a bloodstream infection caused by MRSA (a type of staph bacteria that is resistant to many antibiotics).
  • You are not severely allergic to vancomycin or daptomycin (mild rash is okay).
  • You do not have MRSA pneumonia (lung infection).
  • The MRSA bacteria in your blood is not resistant to high levels of either study drug.
