Brain stimulation for nerve pain in NMOSD

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with NMOSD according to standard guidelines.
  • You have nerve pain that has lasted over 3 months and rates at least 4 on a 0–10 pain scale.
  • Your nerve pain is confirmed by a screening questionnaire with a score of 4 or higher.
  • You are on a stable dose of biologic therapy or prednisone for at least 30 days before joining.
  • You have not changed any pain medications (like gabapentin, antidepressants, or opioids) in the last 30 days.
  • You do not have other conditions that could cause similar pain, like peripheral nerve damage or other active brain diseases.
