Who can take part

  • Baby must be between 0 and 6 months old.
  • Baby must have hydronephrosis (a widening of the kidney's drainage area) confirmed by ultrasound.
  • No other major birth defects that might affect health.
  • No prior surgery or long-term medications for the hydronephrosis.
  • Family must agree to regular hospital visits for 3 years.
