Who can take part

  • You are pregnant with one baby (singleton) and you are over 18 years old.
  • Your baby is under 26 weeks along and has severe urinary/kidney failure from LUTO or bilateral kidney agenesis (not having kidneys).
  • Your baby does not have chromosome problems and does not have other birth defects besides the kidney/urinary issue.
  • Your own blood tests are negative for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV.
  • You must be able and willing to return for travel and follow-up visits, and you must agree to invasive testing if required.
