FAPI-guided surgery for newly diagnosed medullary thyroid cancer

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer that has not spread to distant parts of the body.
  • Your cancer has not been treated before (no prior surgery, radiation, targeted therapy, or other treatments).
  • You are healthy enough for surgery (your blood cell counts, liver, and kidney function are within normal limits).
  • Your doctor plans to perform surgery within the next 30 days.
  • You are not pregnant, not planning pregnancy, and willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after.
  • You have no other cancers, no severe claustrophobia, no contrast allergy, and can lie still for 30 minutes.
