New radioactive treatment for advanced thyroid cancer

Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and if it's the common type, it should no longer respond to radioactive iodine therapy.
  • Your cancer must be growing or spreading based on recent scans (CT or MRI).
  • You must have had at least one prior targeted therapy (like pills or IV treatment) that didn't work, caused side effects, or you chose not to continue.
  • A special PET scan (called FAPI PET) must show that more than half of your cancer spots are very active (bright).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (about the size of a grape or larger).
  • You must be generally well enough to perform daily activities (ECOG score 0–2).
