Who can take part

  • You've had surgery for thyroid cancer and radioactive iodine treatment.
  • Your blood tests show higher levels of a protein called thyroglobulin (Tg) or antibodies against it (ATg).
  • A previous iodine scan (I-131) did not find your cancer or gave unclear results.
  • You are able to take care of yourself and are up and about at least half the day (Karnofsky score 50 or higher).
  • You are at least 18 years old and not pregnant or breastfeeding.
