Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis (by standard criteria).
  • You cannot have other autoimmune diseases (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis).
  • You cannot have an active infection that affects inflammation markers.
  • You cannot have certain health issues: uncontrolled high blood pressure, kidney failure, chronic liver disease, cancer, diabetes, a pacemaker, or be pregnant.
