  • You have cirrhosis and high blood pressure in the portal vein (the main vein to your liver).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You do not have a blood clot in the portal vein.
  • You have not had a liver transplant (but being on the waiting list is okay).
  • Your doctor expects you to live at least 6 more months.
