NCT07554417Not yet recruiting· Phase 4
Exercise and nutrition program for muscle preservation during GLP-1 treatment

This study tests whether a 12-week program of exercise and personalized nutrition counseling can help obese adults maintain muscle and bone while taking GLP-1 medications (drugs that help with weight loss). GLP-1 drugs can sometimes cause muscle loss, so this trial explores whether targeted exercise and nutrition can prevent that.

NCT07740291Recruiting
Tirzepatide and lifestyle study for weight loss

This trial compares two ways to manage weight: taking a GLP-1 medication (like tirzepatide or semaglutide) versus making lifestyle changes without medication. It will help researchers learn which approach works best for people with overweight or obesity.

NCT06885736Recruiting
Preserving muscle with exercise and protein on weight loss drugs

This trial tests whether adding resistance exercise and extra protein can help you keep your muscle while taking weight loss medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide. It is for people with a BMI of 27 or higher who are not already exercising regularly.

NCT07226947Recruiting
Exercise to prevent muscle loss with GLP-1 medication

This study looks at whether exercise can help prevent muscle loss in people taking GLP-1 medications (like Wegovy, Ozempic, or Mounjaro) for weight loss. It may help you keep your muscles strong while you lose weight.

Boston, Massachusetts
NCT07495904Recruiting
Weight loss drug effects on body muscle with extra protein

This trial tests a weight-loss medication (GLP-1 receptor agonist) combined with dietary protein to see if it helps protect muscle while losing fat. It is for adults with obesity who are not taking certain other medications or supplements.

NCT07101939Recruiting· Phase 2
Studying a medicine to preserve muscle during weight loss

This trial tests a new medicine, (S)-pindolol benzoate, given along with semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy). The goal is to see if it helps people lose mostly fat instead of muscle while on a weight loss program.
