This study looks at how hemiparetic cerebral palsy affects your breathing, muscle strength, and hand function. You will do some simple breathing tests and hand grip tests to help researchers understand your condition better.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with hemiparetic cerebral palsy (CP affecting one side of the body).
  • You can understand and follow instructions for breathing and hand tests.
  • Your health has been steady for at least 3 months—no recent medication changes or flare-ups.
  • You are physically able to do breathing tests (like blowing into a mouthpiece).
  • You do not have a current lung infection, asthma attack, or serious heart/lung condition.
  • You have not had intensive arm/hand treatments (like Botox) in the last 6 months, nor major bone surgery in the last 3 months.
