Who can take part

  • You must have at least 16 natural permanent teeth.
  • You get professional teeth cleaning once or twice a year.
  • Your mouth has a certain type of bacteria called Porphyromonas gingivalis (a sign of gum issues).
  • You are generally healthy with no serious medical conditions.
  • You are not a heavy smoker (no more than 5 cigarettes a day) and don't use smokeless tobacco.
