Brain stimulation for slow movement in Parkinson's

This study tests whether a gentle form of brain stimulation (called prTMS) can help improve slow movement in people with Parkinson's. You would come to the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance for several sessions. The goal is to see if this non-invasive treatment can make daily tasks a bit easier.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have a formal diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (from a neurologist specializing in movement disorders).
  • Your Parkinson's medications must have been the same for at least the past 4 weeks.
  • You cannot have any other active brain condition (like epilepsy, stroke, or dementia).
  • You cannot use certain medications (like gabapentin, pregabalin, Donepezil, or antipsychotics) and cannot take benzodiazepines or opioids more than once a week.
