Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 55 years old
  • Have a high level of anxiety (a score of 11 or more on a standard anxiety test)
  • Have certain scores on a questionnaire about early-life trauma (for example, a 'Desire' score of 5 or more)
  • Not be in any other psychotherapy during the study
  • Not have taken any psychiatric medications (like antidepressants) in the past 30 days
  • Not have a severe mental illness or active suicidal thoughts
