Who can take part

  • You are in the intensive care unit (ICU) and your doctor needs to monitor pressure inside your belly.
  • You are 22 years old or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 35.
  • Doctors expect you to live at least 5 more days.
  • You (or your legal representative) can speak and read English and sign a consent form.
