Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (your heart pumps out at least half the blood each beat).
  • You have shortness of breath but tests show it's not due to heart failure (non-cardiac dyspnea group).
  • You are a healthy volunteer with no history of shortness of breath or trouble exercising.
  • You are able and willing to undergo an exercise cardiac MRI scan.
  • You have not been hospitalized for heart failure in the last 30 days.
