Who can take part
- Aged 4 to 15 years old
- Having an asthma attack that needs steroid medicine in the Emergency Department
- No steroid medicine (by mouth or IV) in the last 2 weeks
- Not allergic to the study drug
- No noisy breathing (stridor) or life-threatening asthma attack
- Not having their first wheezing episode (must have been diagnosed with asthma before)
