Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a stomach tumor (GIST) that is 2 to 5 centimeters in size, located in a tricky spot.
  • You have not had chemotherapy or targeted therapy (like imatinib) for this tumor.
  • You are healthy enough for surgery (ECOG score 0 or 1, and ASA class I to III).
  • You have no other active cancers or serious health issues that would make surgery risky.
