Who can take part
- You have advanced breast cancer that cannot be cured by surgery or radiation.
- Your cancer is hormone receptor-positive (grows in response to estrogen or progesterone).
- You have not had any prior treatment for advanced breast cancer, but your cancer came back while on or within 12 months of finishing hormone therapy after surgery.
- A lab test confirms your tumor does not have a specific gene mutation (PIK3CA mutation) and has a certain genetic change (loss of chromosome 8p).
- You do not have type 2 diabetes requiring treatment or any history of type 1 diabetes.
