Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1).
  • You have at least one nerve tumor (plexiform neurofibroma) that is at least 3 cm in size and cannot be removed with surgery.
  • Your doctor agrees you need treatment for symptoms from the tumor.
  • You have not changed your nerve pain medications in the last 28 days.
  • You are well enough to perform daily activities (able to care for yourself).
