Who can take part
- Diagnosis of NF1 (neurofibromatosis type 1)
- Plexiform neurofibroma that is growing or causing symptoms like pain, disfigurement, or loss of function
- Age 16 or older
- Tumor visible on MRI and at least 3 mL in volume (about the size of a grape)
- Adequate kidney, liver, bone marrow, and thyroid function
- Must not have certain other cancers or have completed prior cancer treatments
- Must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and must use effective contraception during and for 4 months after treatment
