Who can take part

  • You must be between 1 and 18 years old
  • Your blood tests must show moderate anemia (hemoglobin between 6 and 10 g/dL) caused by iron deficiency
  • You must be stable enough to not need immediate emergency care
  • You cannot have active bleeding (periods are okay), cancer, a very low platelet count, or an active infection
