Who can take part
- You have type 2 diabetes and have been on a stable dose of metformin (or metformin plus an SGLT2 inhibitor) for at least 12 weeks.
- Your blood sugar control (HbA1c) is between 7.5% and 11.0% at screening, and between 7.0% and 11.0% at the start of the study.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is at least 22.5.
- You have not had any acute diabetic emergencies (like ketoacidosis) or severe low blood sugar episodes in the last 24 weeks.
- You have no personal or family history of certain thyroid cancers or multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
- You have no history of pancreatitis or gallbladder disease needing treatment recently, and no stomach surgeries or conditions affecting digestion.
