Who can take part

  • You must be 65 years or older.
  • You must speak English or French.
  • Women must not be able to become pregnant (e.g., postmenopausal or surgically sterile).
  • You must be willing to keep your current diet, exercise, and medication habits the same during the study.
  • You cannot have serious medical conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, or recent cancer.
  • You cannot be taking certain medications or supplements that affect muscle or weight (e.g., steroids, weight loss drugs).
