Smart sharps disposal study for hemophilia

Hemophilia A and B

This study tests a new, safer way to dispose of used needles and syringes (called SharpsCue) for people with hemophilia who give themselves regular infusions of factor or emicizumab. The goal is to see if the device makes disposal easier and safer.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have moderate or severe hemophilia A or B (with or without an inhibitor).
  • You must be taking a factor product or emicizumab at least once every 14 days to prevent bleeds.
  • You must not have a home nurse giving you infusions.
  • You must be able to use the SharpsCue container.
  • You cannot be in another study or take another investigational drug during the trial.
