Ultrasound study of the thigh muscle in front knee pain

Vastus MedialisUltrasonographicPatello Femoral Pain Syndrome

Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.

This study uses ultrasound to look at a muscle in the front of your thigh (the VMO) that helps keep your kneecap in line. The goal is to understand how this muscle relates to knee pain, which could help improve treatments for patellofemoral pain syndrome.

Knee Strengthening Exercises for Patellofemoral Pain

This study compares three types of thigh muscle exercises to help reduce knee pain in people with patellofemoral pain syndrome (pain around the kneecap). Researchers want to see which exercise style—holding steady, moving through motion, or lowering slowly—works best for your pain.

Study of knee movement issues in patellofemoral pain

This study looks at how the nerves and muscles are working in people with patellofemoral pain (pain around the kneecap). It may help researchers understand what drives the pain and how it might be treated.

PET/MRI Imaging Study of Kneecap Joint Osteoarthritis

This research study uses advanced imaging (PET and MRI scans) to better understand osteoarthritis in the front of the knee, where the kneecap meets the thighbone. You'll help researchers learn how to detect and track this condition earlier.

Neuromuscular exercise for knee pain

This trial tests a specific exercise program that improves the way your knee muscles work together, which may reduce pain and improve function in people with knee pain (patellofemoral pain). The study focuses on a particular subgroup of people with this condition to see if the treatment works especially well for them.
