Who can take part
- You have hearing loss in only one ear, and it's a type where sound is blocked from reaching the inner ear (conductive or mixed hearing loss).
- Your eardrum is intact (no holes or perforations).
- A hearing test shows a difference of more than 20 decibels between air and bone conduction.
- You do not have nerve-related hearing loss (sensorineural) in that ear.
- You do not have chronic ear infections, a perforated eardrum, or prior ear surgery on that side.
