Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You are scheduled for surgery on the cerebellopontine angle (the area behind the ear where hearing and balance nerves are located).
  • You have either normal hearing or mild to severe hearing loss (not profound) in the ear being operated on.
  • Your surgeon can access the hearing nerve during your procedure (no large tumor blocking it).
  • You are enrolled in a health insurance plan (social security).
  • You agree to read the study details and sign a consent form.
