This study tests whether a gentle electrical stimulation technique called TI (transcranial alternating current stimulation) can help improve sleep and reduce seizures in people with temporal lobe epilepsy. You would stay overnight in a sleep lab to have your brain activity and sleep monitored.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have focal epilepsy that starts in the temporal lobe and is not controlled by medications.
  • You are willing to stay overnight in a sleep lab for monitoring with EEG and sleep sensors.
  • Your seizure medication dose has been stable for at least 7 days.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other implanted metal device that could interfere with the treatment.
