- You are in good general health (ASA I or II).
- You are scheduled for double jaw surgery (both upper and lower jaw).
- You can fill out an anxiety questionnaire (the STAI).
- You have not had jaw surgery or major face injury before.
- You do not smoke, use drugs, or have certain health conditions like mental illness, bone disease, or cancer treatment history.
