Who can take part
- Must have IIH with swollen optic nerves (Frisén grade 3 or higher in at least one eye) and be at risk of losing vision.
- Be between 18 and 63 years old.
- Be a good candidate for and willing to have either a CSF shunt or a venous sinus stent.
- No prior IIH surgery (like optic nerve sheath fenestration, shunt, or stent).
- Not pregnant, no current blood clots or recent drug/alcohol abuse, and no history of allergy to iodine, nickel, or nitinol.
