Who can take part

  • You are between 12 and 65 years old.
  • Your platelet count is low (below 100,000) because of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy, and it improved when that treatment stopped.
  • You have no other obvious cause for low platelets, like aplastic anemia, leukemia, or an enlarged spleen.
  • Your liver and kidney function are mostly normal (within 2.5 times the upper limit).
  • You are able to do most of your daily activities (Karnofsky score at least 60 or ECOG 0-2) and your doctor expects you to live more than 3 months.
  • You are not allergic to any part of the umbilical cord blood product, and you are not currently in another clinical trial.
